I have been coming on to the DoD main forum for a few months now. I have notice lately that the fun topics and stories people shared are getting drowned out by all the LFG requests. Now I feel the pain of you fellow guardians. Prior to coming to DoD I had 3 friends in my xbox network and not 1 played destiny. So I hit the forums answered request and found randoms for games. It took long to find them and even longer to get stuff done. And most of the time it wasn't a satisfying gaming experience.
So I decided to check out a clan and that changed this game for me. I can't wait to get on and play with my clan every time I can. Now this isn't a recruitment message, it is more of a suggestions/hope.
First to all you solo guardians find a clan use the DOD website and find one that fits you. Destiny will be forever changed for you. That is my suggestions.
Now my hope is we can get the DoD forum back to what it is made for. Sharing stories, talking about life and being Dads.
If clans aren't for you DoD website has plenty of other options to help you save the universe.

This is a much thought of "issue" and u r right in saying the site is getting a bit bogged down with "lfg". The good news is that the dod website is amazing and it really does have so much to offer for those who venture there, including a great forum with dedicated "lfg" threads, clan forums, different games sections e.t.c The bad news is that many new members dont know that it is there and even though there are links and sticky announcements, people are, as u pointed out, just so eager to meet folks and start enjoying destiny that they may sometimes rush past the "boring announcements" and go right to the good stuff. Hopefully in time the DoD community will be able to spread the word and get things nice and streamlined so our beloved man cave forums can resume the charm of old.
