Whenever I'm with girl gamers I tend to get a bit shy and I don't want to embarrass the girl or myself. I hate being labeled as thirsty so I go the complete opposite direction. Do girls appreciate this?

It's better to sound a little shy than to come off as being insanely thirsty. Don't be afraid to interact with them, though. Tell jokes that are relevant to what you're doing, laugh, have fun. They will appreciate that more than thirstiness or shyness.

I really hope so, but at least you think before you act. That's a good thing in a game, and IRL.
