Destiny servers, or Comcast?
Any other Comcast customers CONSTANTLY having their connection in Destiny show as poor? I'm trying to play during off-peak hours and still can't seem anything but red.
Speed tests from all other devices are fine. PS4 connection seems fine. Destiny, NOPE.
DAFUQ.
Edit: Have tried port forwarding, disabling firewall, and setting static PS4 IP as a DMZ. No luck at all when it comes to Destiny connection as well as NAT issues with voice over PS4.
Starting to think the issue could be the modem/router combo unit from Comcast.

I have the same issues & lag from Comcast on my Xbone with Destiny. Destiny on my ps4 seems to maintain a better connection - and none of my other systems have connection issues at all.

I have Xbox one and ps4 and same deal. Even titanfall which has dedis is just as bad. It's like I'm always playing with a .5 - 1.0 sec handicap.. It's got me considering hanging up competitve mp for good or at least until another ISP comes along. I live in north Flirida so the only ISP is Comcast. AT&T is phone line tech and too slow. I pay about $100 a month for service. I usually get around 50-60 down, 30 up with a 9ms ping. I have had them check my lines and service and everything and no visible latency. My brothers back in NC all play fine with hardly any issues except some iron banner lag which everyone gets. No way I am paying any more for Comcast. The problem in my opinion is slow pipes between us and destiny servers. Comcast will never fix this and they are even in the process of buying time Warner. Oh well. Guess my gaming days are coming too a close. Edit~. I have tried everything. Even bought a brand new modem and plugged right into it. I have no nat issues either. It's comcasts pipes. Plain and simple

Pretty sure it's destiny. I was having issues the past two days. Baboon error messages and called comcast and they said everything appeared fine with the connection.

I have comcast. Always see others having red connection.

6 RepliesIts the game. Make sure u are hard wired from ps4 to modem. Wifi is to laggy.

3 RepliesSame here. Don't know what it is about comcast in my area. I run speed checks often when I see the red bar and just scratch my head bc I have 53mb download and 13mb upload. Been battling my router and resetting it. A friend told me it might have to do with the router and modem being combined in the device. I have yet to buy the two separate tho and replace my box.
