Destiny's Crota's End Raid Hard Mode Unlocking Next Week
Destiny's raid gets harder, and the primary weapon unlocks have been revealed. The Crota's End raid in Destiny is about to get a little bit harder. Starting on January 21 at 10 AM PST you'll be able to challenge Hard Mode in the raid as well as access new Primary Weapons.
In an update on Bungie.net, the developer wrote, "Hard Mode for Crota’s End is ready. We know you are, too. The first Fireteam to sink their teeth (and their sword) into the final boss (and by opposing, end him) will set the pace. We’ll be watching. We might even send the World First finishers some swag from the Bungie Store."
While the unlocking is scheduled to start on Wednesday, Bungie notes that it might come "soon after if we need more time to load the starting pistol.
What do you get for the extra effort? "Hard Mode beckons with treasures all its own," including a bunch of primary weapons. You can check them out by clicking here. http://www.gamespot.com/images/1300-2782803 On the weapons front, Bungie also offers the reminder "that Hard Mode is also the only place to obtain 'Crux of Crota,' the final piece needed to upgrade the Eidolon Ally (the gun formerly known as Husk of the Pit) to its full, Necrochasmic glory." And finally, Hard Mode will have the exclusive Glowhoo shader.
