Can you use your phone as a hotspot? I did that once to get something from xur.

That doesn't sound like it would work.

If you have 4g, it works just fine. Maybe a little bit laggy, but good enough to get to xur. Maybe even 3g would work. This type of game uses surprisingly little bandwidth.
