You know how the Tower just sends us on missions but doesn't let us ask any questions or find anything out?
Well if that is their intention, there is one small problem. We could just wander off and find out for ourselves. Take a trip down to the city or wherever else we might find answers.
Except we can't. Because if you go off course, a warning pops up telling you to turn back, and then you mysteriously die, and it's called a misadventure.
But how could you die when there was nothing around to kill you? Well there is one thing, actually.
Your Ghost.

After reading some of the posts on here I have come up with a theory. We know that dinklebot is created in some part from/by the traveler as a guide to us, so in some way he is linked to the traveler. In one mission on the moon you find a shard of the traveller that the hive we are told are draining the light from it. There is a dark fog effect over the exterior. Maybe the hive are actually removing the darkness from the traveller instead. Thats a whole other theroy I have. As most enemies shoot out white light when you head shot them or the larger enemies explode in to blinding light when you kill them, what if dinklebot is a conduit for collecting light for the traveller. It would explain why he seems to enjoy getting you swamped in enimies all the time. More enimies = more light. We are basically farmers powering up tge travller for fare means or foul. If the travller is evil then the theroy still holds as Darkness is just the absence of light. And we are removing it at an alarming rate. Just a theory....
