Break Up and Keep Playing or ... NEED ADVICE
So my girlfriend gets pissed when I come home from work and play until I gotta go to work the next morning... So I don't sleep anymore at all, I really don't wanna miss out on any Loot, so I spend all my hours spare grinding Phogoth strike over and over... But I need advice she seems pretty pissed lately and acting as if I must choose between her and work or Destiny! It's pretty selfish of her IMO. I don't know if to break up with my girlfriend or give up playing for a few months....
Please reply with some advice fellow Guardians!

Yea dude this game is very addictive but seriously don't let it take over your life I was doing the same thing with my wife. games are fun and it may not seem like it but they can really take up all your spare time try compromise with her say look I'll cone home from work and spend time with ya but after dinner its destiny or something like that if it doesn't work boot her to orbit

She'll find someone who gives her the attention and you'll be stuck playing a game which will become redundant within a couple of years. You have 3 choices: 1. You carry on playing Destiny and wasting what precious time you could be spending with her and she leaves you eventually. 2. You realise your mistake, apologise to her in various forms of gifts, sex, attention. 3. You realise how much of a dick you are and how much you don't deserve to have her and break up with her.

2 RepliesLmfao.. I play all day everyday. My girl lives with me.. She sits next to me on the laptop on Netflix all day. While I play away for continuous hours. I ask her to make me sandwiches, get me drinks, ect. No complaints lol... Good luck with your relationship. Priorities are important. But just make sure you give her some time too.

Dude ..manage your time properly.. You GF will not want you all the time.. fill her emotional box(not being rude) when she is happy then game on.. and when it comes to loot..well RNG .. nightfall weekly are the only time restraints anyways. (and raids, but I guess you not ready for them) I play a lot, wife and kid.. When they happy I am happy.. then I game. Also date night with GF no thoughts of touching Destiny will also help.. Commit to real life not digital dude. be well happy and imagine life without GF.. DESTINY THEN WILL TAKE YOUR JOB... I had a mate who lost his job everytime COD came out cos life got in the way..

Choose her you fool. It's just a game. Make sure you remind yourself that from time to time. You've already gotten plenty time on this game already. Why not scale it down a little? I'm married and that's the only way I can play. Have to be balanced.

1 ReplyTell her that she is important to you. Tell her that you will quit your job, and you will only play while she is at work. The rest of the time will be divided up between her and sleep. Of course, tell her she needs to get a second job because with her current one job, she can't support both of you. This will give you plenty of time to play. Ideally, she will get two jobs at 8 hours each, with about an hour and a half drive time. This will give you 17 & 1/2 hours a day to play. When she gets home, give her all the attention she wants before she passes out from exhaustion. Make sure you cuddle her to sleep. From the time she gets home to the time she falls asleep after a 17 & 1/2 hour workday, probably about 30 minutes. After she falls asleep, you can go back to playing. When her alarm goes off, go make her breakfast and kiss her goodbye, tell her you love her and hope she has a good day. This method should give you about 22 or 23 hours a day to play Destiny which isn't ideal, but you gotta make some sacrifices here, bro. Don't shirk on that time you need to give her. It's possible that she might get a day off from time to time, or only work one of her jobs in a day while she has a day off at the other one. This might sound like you will have to spend more time with her, but on these days just draw her a bath, get her something nice to eat, and then cuddle her to sleep and let her sleep in. She will probably be so tired that she will sleep a lot, which will give you Destiny time. I say at worst, you shouldn't have to spend more than 4 hours away from Destiny in a day, and on good days, you should get about 23 hours and 15 minutes or so.

1. Just my opinion, you should never choose games over your girl. Just cool down on the games a bit. Destiny will always be there, she won't if you keep it up. 2. There's an exception, if she is completely wanting to stop you from doing your hobby and being controlling, that probably isn't healthy. Might wanna just talk it over. Long story short, find a balance.
