In similar situation with my wife. She knew I play video games before we got married but Destiny is the first game since borderlands 2 that really is keeping me glued to the couch grinding for loot. So yesterday finally got the talk. It wasn't an ultimatum she just basically asked me to cut back because its out of hand. But it's cool each character is level 31 so all I need to do is raids and weekly's now. Should be less grindy.
