Funny how a lot of you are calling OP an idiot for doing this. Are that many of you ignorant children, that you think having a relasionship is all daisies and sunshine? There is such a thing as a bad or toxic relasionship, and this was obviously one of them. Good job OP. Screw that selish, ungrateful bullshit.

  • You are going to be a lonely old man. this isnt just a gaming issue, this issue affects every relationship, any hobby that takes alot of time requires compromise to make a relationship work. If you dont realise this then i can only assume that you are 12 yrs old & responsibility hasnt smacked you in the face yet.

Actually I'm 21 and have lost both my parents. One to a car wreck and the other to chemotherapy. I have now inherited a house, on which I pay bills, and have many other expenses to worry about. 99% of people never have to experience this sort of thing. I don't know responsibility? Right.

  • Then i would have expected a more mature response especially because of the losses you have faced in life. I have suffered the worst loss possible & it woke me up to whats really important in life. People assume things from the way posts are written & whats written & frankly what you wrote amazes me even more after what you just said. Its just a hobby & when compared to real life it means nothing.

You're right, but even if that hobby is something as meaningless as gaming, a person shouldn't force someone to stop unless its truly a problem, like addiction. And about my slightly immature original reply. Sorry I tend to be a little minimal in posts on this forum. I really am a sharp individul, its just that so many people on this forum are simple minded and I just feel like, what's the point in wasting my time typing thought out and intelligent replys in a lot of threads if no one is going to read it or if its just some idiot with a sentence response.

  • I understand where you are coming from. The op did state that he likes to grind which implies that hes on destiny ALOT & there was no hint of a compromise on his part. He seems to think that because he works then hes entitled to do what he wants regardless, if hes single then this isnt a problem but in a relationship it has to be compromised. Since the op never hinted or stated that he tried to compromise then that leaves the opinion that op was being selfish & the gf would have been wiser to leave him anyway. I wasnt trying to be over critical of you, i was just a little surprised & then amazed that you were so casual to this situation especially after what you told me but i know that forums are full of idiots that cant understand an intelligent post. I wish you luck in the future & although im not religious i do believe that our loved ones watch over us when they have to leave. Keep making your parents proud & may the best of your past be the worst of your future.

  • But Destiny is an addiction correct? He even said he couldn't afford to sleep because it would get in the way of playing. So in this particular case according to you it should have been fine for her to tell him to stop, right?

  • ... He was the selfish one. He made it like he's the sole money maker. Guarantee she help with the rent and bills yet he couldn't compromise with her? It's a damn game I don't think it was an abusive relationship. He's just a addict and giving him positive feedback won't help him. If he tried to compromise then fine. But he seems from what he said is he just simply shut her out, girl should of left him anyways.
Hope you liked the wall of text you relationship guru you
