By the time the kid gets to an age where he/she gets curious about the origin of the name, destiny won't even be a factor and Bungie will no longer be developing games because they flopped this one so bad.

If by flop you mean they made a ton of money and have a loyal fan base, then yes, this game is like a fish out of water.
-
Uhhh, I don't think that's what he meant. Just because something makes a ton of money doesn't mean it's good. The Avenger's made over a billion dollars world-wide and that was the biggest piece of shit movie I've ever seen.
-
To flop is to fail miserably or completely; if Bungie spent millions and millions of dollars developing and promoting this game (which they did) and the product was not consumed by enough people to make the production worth the trouble then it is a "flop." I point this out because you are clearly assigning a definition to the word that is not the right definition.
-
He chose the word "flop", not me. In terms of sales, the game obviously wasn't a flop. In terms of delivering the game that Bungie originally promised...yeah, it is.
-
Listen...he did say flop; to which I responded accordingly. The game sales are great and lots of people are still playing it and will continue to play it for the foreseeable future. Bungie will continue to release DLC that will be bought and enjoyed by many; in no sense of the word, is this game a flop.
