If u ask me the main reason for doing the nightfall is to get that extra xp for the week so u can level up your stuff faster. if u get awesome stuff then that's just gravy. and you can always just save up those shards for the next expansion so u can level up that gear right off the bat.

I got my praxic 2 weeks ago and i had the highest kills on my fireteam. I actually felt rewarded for once in this game.

1 ReplyAt least you got 9 shards. In the last 3 weeks of doing 3ightfalls on 3 characters plus a forth character in one week, I've gotten a grand total of 1 exotic shard (Warlock helmet that had far worse stats than the same one I already had), 8 shards and 10 energy. I'd rather get a stack of energy over a useless legendary weapon, because at least it translates into having more materials. So 10 Nightfalls for 8 shards, 10 energy and one exotic shard. I just hope it's not shards, because I have somewhere around 400 of them. Energy, I don't mind so much. Just remember, no matter how bad you're getting screwed by the RNG, someone else out there is always getting screwed harder. I'm sure there's people out there that had it even worse off than I did. Granted, none of my friends had quite the same horrible luck as I did, but I guarantee you there's people out there who did.
