You may have to call those places back and tell them of the situation. I did this before and it landed me a job. a lot of employers want to know you are desperate for the job cause it gives them a indication that you won't be -blam!-ing around or quit within a week. Also as previously mentioned, starting somewhere new may be a better choice as well. I lived in a small town before and I know how it is. Jobs are far and between. I moved to the big city and had a job within a week.

Have you ever thought about starting somewhere new? Sounds like you don't have the support of your family/loved ones if you're losing your home due to loss of income. Or maybe you're prideful like me and refuse to take charity. Either way, maybe you could find a smaller place somewhere with a better local economy? Sometimes smaller towns are better in that aspect, as least if you know people.
