This.
I took off from WoW for 4 YEARS and came back for another 2. I still play Starcraft as well.
My taste in games has changed and this is what really brought me to Destiny, thank Bethesda for that..ahem...Fallout 3/NV.
Creating a culture. Such a good thing, and I think Destiny has the potential to do just that, truly.
I post feedback here. 99% is civil although its not my intent to be overly harsh, but to put forth my candid opinions on a topic.
Stop extending the grind folks. Level 32s still play. And you don't have to be max level for anything but hard mode raids.
We don't need so many currencies and upgrade materials.
Streamline the process. Make a way for content to be accessible to your players.
Commendations are purely garbage. Honestly. What functional purpose do they actually serve besides to impede progress?
Add matchmaking for weekly and/or Nightfall. Its the only way to efficiently farm Strange Coins.
Add Ascendant materials to the ROC playlist as a reward, or offer a Strike playlist in which that IS the reward. One per completion, you need 9 to level one piece of legendary gear. That's not a hand out, that's adding another avenue in which you can earn materials.
Great article. Good find.
Edit: not 9 ascendant mats. 18! 6 each, 3 upgrade slots. Per piece of gear. 4 legendary or 3 plus one exotic. So to max that would be....
18*3 or 18*4+Exotic shard
Don't forget about weapons.
Ascendant mats aren't strike rewards because....?
