Bungie is at fault here, not DeeJ. I think a lot of it has to do with Bungie being an old-school company. They don't realize that technology has evolved, and new companies are using customer feedback to improve their games. Bungie simply put up a wall. And at some point we will have to take our money elsewhere. Bungie thinks that remaining silent gives the an aura of greatness. Kind of like Soup -godwinslaw!-. If you don't like something. No Soup for you. DeeJ is giving the bare minimum information though. Like this post they just put up about Crota hard mode. All that info has already been available, about the new Primary weapons. Can they give us a glimpse of the expansion? Or what is planned for 2015?

 • They know technology has evolved. They just see no reason to respond. They have our money. Why respond? Unless they see a path to increased profit, there's no business incentive. Destiny is above-average, because that's all it had to be to be successful at this time. This time it's primarily about the profit, not the art.

 • I agree with DeeJ not being at fault. Unfortunately he's the messenger that gets shot up whenever the opportunity is presented. Its apparent in a lot of the interviews of late. His facial expression and tone, to me, appear like someone that really wishes they could just level with you; but simply cannot. I'm sure that any communication has to pass through a team of lawyers and PR spin-doctors for approval. The decision makers are who people should be aiming there anger at; but they get to remain anonymous while the designated scapegoat takes the heat. More than likely, he gets an approved list of talking points with a script. Deviating from that would be career suicide for him. I hope that both Bungie and Activision ultimately get taken to task for this clusterduck of a game. Succeeding as-is will take console gaming down a truly anti-consumer path.

 • I am an account executive and often times play the role of "the messenger". What you say is absolutely correct. He is the face of the company... unfortunately for him, his company didn't deliver and now he is stuck dealing with it. Sad really, because he seems like a truly down to earth, humble guy.

 • Maybe he'll follow Joe Staten to greener pastures and new artistic (or in his case, community building) challenges…

 • They mi-advertised Destiny as an MMO-Lite, but without monthly updates. It isn't an MMO at all. Once you are done with the game you are done, in an MMO you have some replay value.
