So, I was with a girl for 5 years. We broke up half a year ago. We were in touch so I still got her a Christmas present, a lovely pair of designer gloves; I bought them online and they never arrived, so I contacted the store and they sent another pair, both came at the same time. I contacted the store to tell them this and they told me not to worry, keep them both! She only went and left the pair I gave her on a bus (by accident of course) and was obviously upset. We were still in contact, so I told her I had another pair she could have, but her dad is a bus driver and was going to check lost property to see if they had been handed in when he had his next shift, he was due back from holiday a couple of days after. We got talking and I told her I missed her. She got upset and told me to leave her alone and that she would not get back with me. So we agreed to delete each other's number. This was on Monday. She just text me this at 1am: "I don't know if you'll see this and so sorry for contacting you . But my gloves weren't handed in and I really loved them and I was wondering if I could still have that pair?" I have no use for the gloves. I could flog them on eBay. I could give them to family. Or I could give them to her. I'm 27, so I'm not immature about this. I don't hold any grudge against her. I broke up with her initially. She has refused to meet with me in the time we have been apart and that won't change now, I would have to put the gloves in a bag through her letterbox if I were to give them to her.
