Yeah it should have ended around the time lawliet (L) died. I've watched over 50 anime so if you want to know any more let me know. Code geass just popped in my head when I saw the post because me and my friend were talking about which main character would win in a fair fight a few days ago. light or lelouch?

I wouldn't say is hands down better, and in my opinion I still thank that session one of death note is the best of its genre. However, Code geass has mecha(if your into mecha and it's the most fluent fighting I've seen in a mecha), more characters, and a beautiful ending. They can never make another L lol. Btw if you didn't know there are three death note live action movies, but the actors are kind of bad.

I haven't watched the anime in years but if I remember right after he died ryuke took back the death note. I don't remember what happened to her and her death note but even if she lived she couldn't pull it off like light could have. I need to re watch that anime it was my favorite for a really long time and if I made a list it would probably still be top 5 and definitely top 10. Two of the movies are like the anime with light and l but different stuff happens with a different ending. The third is about L before Kira showed up. There is also two animated movies but there just the anime shortened into three hours.
