He's just like batman in a way, no special powers. Just a lot of physical training, gadgets and weapons to get the job done. Both of them study their targets habits and possible weaknesses before confronting them. Yes batman hasn't figured out blasters from Star Wars, but I'm sure if he studied hard he could figure it out if he hasn't already.
