Efrideet's Spear is Overpowered
Rolled with the proper perks, I believe this rifle is a bit game breaking and should be nerfed. Certain perks shouldn't be allowed on sniper rifles (e.g. armor piercing rounds, final round). What do you guys think? I put together a montage of how ridiculous this weapon is.
***Update: I am more so asking for opinions on the perks (final round, armor piercing rounds) and wether you consider them overpowered or not on a sniper rifle. Efrideet's Spear is simply an excellent example of these perks due to the reforging option, small clip size, and massive impact.

All of my sniper rounds are one hit kill. Why would you aim for anything other than the head?

1 ReplyThis is not a new thing, I've got the Supremacy sniper from the only Queens Wrath event with AP and final round, plus a couple of spears with final round. It isn't any more OP than certain shottys and fusion rifles that can OHK from ridiculous distances

Just like how shot package. Accelerated coils. Rangefinder on shotguns shouldn't be allowed.

Mine is void with speed reload when mag is empty and final round bonus damage. I wanted armor piercing round but didn't want to loose those perks.

Well all you did was teach me Armor piercing on snipers go through objects. No big deal i say considering 90% of ayers dont use snipers in PvP that it's fair. I wish mine had armor piercing but oh well i dont see use special weapons in PvP only Thorn

No. There are blue snipers and maybe even greens with the same impact stat, and if you're lucky enough to get one or more of the perks you mentioned, it's the same as Efrideet's Spear in PvP. Do you want to nerf those too?

1 ReplyAny sniper is a 1 hit kill with final round and armor piercing rounds. Not to mention its a SNIPER. Its not supposed to be a 7 shot kill.

It is in fact a very good gun. Being able to re-roll to your specs is freakin awesome.

It isn't just the spear that's OP like that, many snipers can roll the last round perk and/or armor piercing, you just have to have a high impact sniper with both of those perks and you have a PvP breaking sniper

They should leave the snipe alone because the game is filled with 90% players using shotgun/fusion and those weapons are one shot. If you want a this snipe nerfed shotguns and fusions have to be nerfed first.

I don't PvP but consider how the PvP crowd always -bams!- up PvE guns calling for nerfs... NERF IT TO THE GROUND :)

With the spear, you shoot pretty slowly, compared to other snipers, but do tons of damage (plus, you can't even get third eye on it). You can only shoot through walls because it has armor piercing rounds. Other snipers have that perk too. Instead of trying to get the spear nerfed, try getting that perk nerfed so it can't shoot through walls. I mean, just look at my titan. Is the spear I have on that op?
