crux of crota only drops when fully upgraded eidolon ally equiped?

My Eidolon Ally was in the vault when the Crux dropped for me. Now I have the Necrochasm in my vault.

Its completely random no matter what you're using, 2 dropped in a random group I joined last night and I was lucky enough to get one.

I got my crux before I started upgrading my eidolon. Granted I had it but it still had that new weapon smell with a hint of hive.

2 RepliesNo, and you don't even need Glowhoo or something else. You can even do the raid on normal and it can still drop. Doesn't matter.
