The biggest mistake in TDB was the lack of additional content relative to the price tag. Unfortunately this article, and a similar one I read elsewhere, make no mention of this problem and HoW will probably be as lackluster as TDB. I hope I'm wrong.

I think bungie need to be very careful about how much they change destiny based on the communities reactions. The game came out with a random loot drop system for a reason, "a fair loot chance for all" players, casual, hardcore, pvp or pve all have the same random chance for gear and guns, meaning that its not just those who play for 12 hours a day that get good stuff. The drop rate may seem harsh and slow with many players feeling picked on that "i did all the work and that noob got the best gun" but changing the system to increase drop rate would only lessen the validity of the random drop system. If every player gets every gun and piece of armour they want within a week of play then whats the point?

I'll just be glad to see the shard/energy wall go away. That was my biggest complaint about TDB. I'd imagine the vendor gear will get you to 32 in HoW, but that's just a guess based on what they said.
