Possible reason why firefly and other precision perks don't work 100% with explosive rounds
Ok so a lot of people know a lot of precision perks on weapons, for example firefly (precision kills cause the enemy to explode) only sometimes work when using explosive rounds on your weapon.
I may have the reason why.
Firstly let's get rid of the myth "explosive rounds don't do as much damage"
I have personally tested this and the exact same damage is done both with precision hits and body shots its merely split. The (pulling this number from thin air) 400 damage from non explosive rounds becomes 300 and 100 from explosive rounds 300 where the bullet hit and 100 from the explosion. If its a crit hit it becomes, let's say, 600 damage and with explosive it becomes 500 and 100 damage so still the same total meaning no damage is lost by being switched to explosives.
Now as we can see the damage is split but in precision hits whilst the bullet hit is critical damage the explosive damage still counts as a normal body hit despite the same overall damage being dealt. I think the reason why the crit hit perks fail is because, in the case of firefly, the explosive damage that counts as a body shot is the damage that kills not the precision hit of the bullet resulting in the perk not activating.
I also think the same for perks, such as 3 crit hits in a row increase stability, are unable to take place due to each shot also doing the body damage meaning getting 3 crit shots with explosives actually does this
C= crit hit
E= the explosive body shot

Does anyone have any evidence to prove me wrong? If so go ahead and say, if not it would be good to keep this thread active and hope someone can feed this back to the devs to fix.
