Why do you care if you do the hard raid or get to 32 then? You only need to get to 32 if you want to beat Crota without struggling against the level modifier. If you just want the weapons, get invited to a checkpoint rather than do a whole raid. If you are level 53 with your faction you clearly play a lot and know what you're doing.
