If you're tired of people killing everything in strikes try this!
If you're like me and you rush past everything, but there's that 1 guy lagging behind killing stuff then help a guardian out. Get to the checkpoint and then kill yourself. More than likely you'll be the only guardian at that checkpoint when you are playing with these slow unhelpful people so it will just wipe the group and respawn everyone at the checkpoint you just died at. Easy way to tell if you're the only one at a check point is to just look at your radar. If you don't see any green on it then you're the only one in that checkpoint. So if you wanna be the boss and set the pace of the strike then give this a try!!!! Works well for me

1. Why can't you just take out the enemies and play the strike the way it was meant to be played? 2. Maybe that person is like me and really likes to take out all enemies in sight. Or maybe that person has a bounty they're trying to work on or get some extra XP. I'm not trying to start a fight or anything, I'm just pointing this out

I usually just set my controller down and move it occasionally once someone does this. I've got other things to do while I stand. I can hold out long enough for you to win the strike solo. I can wait. I'm patient.

Prime examples are the room right after the 3 wave stage in phogoth and all the enemies in the circle of bones after. Or the beginning room of the rockets mcdickface strike with the two colossus before you reach the lieutenants. The issue here would be if you have a black hammer and it's a boss like archon priest or phogoth, everybody should protect you as you drop the hammer. Easiest and fastest way to do it. Don't mess up their critical hits just kill the adds around

When I go into the strike playlist (which is rare) I do so because I want to [b]actually play the strike[/b], not skip 80% of it. If you want to run ahead, be my guest, but you don't have to act like an immature, self-centered child because other people won't play your way.

1 ReplyI have done this as well. I sometimes hope they were going for the no death or exp bounty just to screw them up. I really get annoyed by players hanging at the back to avoid getting killed. If u suck that bad u should just skip those bounties.

2 RepliesIt's really not hard to speed run strikes while killing everything. It's even better if you have a team. Two nights ago me and two friends decided to see just how fast we could do some of these strikes. They both got on their Titans and switched to their defender sub-class. One ran Weapons and the other ran Blessing. I hopped on my Warlock (because I needed Hadronic Escence). I threw on my Obsidian mind and switched to Voidwalker. We ran through about 10-12 strikes, killing everything, and each one took between 9 to 11 minutes. We got a ton of glimmer really quickly too. We wanted to see how many orbs we could generate, so on the Omnigul strike, it took us 11 minutes and we EACH picked up over 140 orbs. Honestly I find it more fun to kill everything.

6 RepliesSomeone did this to me and my friend while we were playing and we both reported him. Once is whatever, but this guy kept doing it. Some of us actually like playing the game instead of skipping through everything.

2 RepliesThis has been the way some people do it since the beginning. It's nothing new. But you're an ass for causing a wipe. If you want to rush ahead and skip enemies, that's fine by me, but there is no need for you to wipe your team once you get to the end. Just go solo until your team catches up. That way you're only half an ass. Remember, there are bounties and other reasons why someone doesn't want you to artificially wipe them. Be courteous with random teams, or start your own fireteam who will follow you. Don't be an ass, you'll live longer and have a better life.

Edited by Macrocosm11: 1/27/2015 5:49:00 PMIt would be nice to have the ability to turn off the "auto search" from strike playlists to ensure people, and their 2 man fireteams, can bang these things out without having to worry about not fitting in with other's play styles. Even if we had 2 search options along the lines of: 1. Dagger through the heart, short and sweet. 2. If any of you -blam!-ing aliens move, I'm gonna execute every last mother -blam!-ing one of you! That way we can have a better chance at getting paired up with a fireteam that fits our desired pace.
