If you're like me and you rush past everything, but there's that 1 guy lagging behind killing stuff then help a guardian out. Get to the checkpoint and then kill yourself. More than likely you'll be the only guardian at that checkpoint when you are playing with these slow unhelpful people so it will just wipe the group and respawn everyone at the checkpoint you just died at. Easy way to tell if you're the only one at a check point is to just look at your radar. If you don't see any green on it then you're the only one in that checkpoint. So if you wanna be the boss and set the pace of the strike then give this a try!!!! Works well for me
Edit 1 how can I collect all these tears with so much salt
Edit 2 thanks for all the attention to this thread! Let's get this method out there an put into action!!!
Edit 3 I am truly blessed. Thank you guardians for all these tears. Without you none of this would be possible. May your eyes be wet and your cheeks be salty

dont forget to report them for being unhelpful as well. Strike are no place for slow players, they can join friends to do that.
-
-
Wonder what happens if the Guardian lagging behind kills themself in a no respawn zone...
-
But its so much fun getting to the end while they are half way through and you just see: PlayerNameHere Died PlayerNameHere Died PlayerNameHere Died PlayerNameHere Died PlayerNameHere Died PlayerNameHere Died
-
Here's an idea... Make some friends that feel the same way. Then three of you can go and break some imaginary records
-
Maybe u get to the checkpoint running past everything as it shoots u and they kill u and then everyone gets there. Someone pointed it out to u that you always die doing that, so youve created this topic to try to somehow justify your deaths to us randoms who otherwise would have never knew your idiocracy, knew about the checkpoints already and also dont care, while at the same time lying to yaself about why it is you keep dying. And yes I know what a paragraph is :)
-
Isn't the point of strikes to kill things? If you'd rather run past everything than fight, that's fine. But some people would actually like to enjoy the gameplay, and you have no right to tell them they can't do that. Not everybody payed $60+ just to hold down the left stick.
-
Well, each to their own. Personally, I do ROC because I enjoy the process of using the games strengths - the mechanics and encounters. Not interested in speed running, I'd rather take on those 5 Fallen Vandals then run past them. Of course, I don't take away your choice of play style, but perhaps communicate to the Fireteam and take a majority vote on what to do? There's little more frustrating that the team wipe tactic you mentioned, yet equally it must be annoying to realise you're the only one charging ahead. Call me diplomatic, but that seems like the more reasonable and approachable solution.
-
I could care less what others do, yes it'd be nice to have the help, but I just keep going as if I'm soloing it, there isn't a strike that's difficult to do alone.
-
-
Isn't that the whole point of strikes? Killing everything in your way. What I do is if your the Dipshit that just runs ahead without killing anything, and you happen to die, I will not be picking you up. And I usually have a friend with me and neither will they. We will just leave your ass there. Just because you wanna be a prick. I'd rather get my rewards, glimmer, and my engram drops. If you happen to get teamed up with me and you don't like how I play the game, then going back to orbit is what you should be doing. BTW another thing is, if you just stay at the spawn and not move, you will be pushed into enemies without hesitation.
-
Exactly what I do.
-
You could do that, or you could shoot as well and add 1-2 minutes to your run.
-
I ALWAYS want to rush the strike...
-
3/10 Caught a lot of fish but topic is old
-
I only do this when there is a bounty for not dying during a strike.
-
What if I told you, there are many many bounties which require the killing of stuffs!
-
Lol id just report then leave then. You probably stopped me from doing my bounties, leveling my gear and wasted one of my glimmer drop items. Not only that you are interfering with my game experience trying to force me into something, which bungie does ban for. And to top it off you've lost a whole player worth of dps.
-
You do realize the enemies in the strike have a higher chance of dropping legendary engrams right? By that I mean enemies that aren't lower level.
-
When someone does this I get to final boss and sit my arse down and let the dick do the work
-
Edited by Tha_Kid: 1/26/2015 11:22:41 PMor u can just solo ahead while others catch up its not like u need help for these strikes anyway they all soloable edit: if ur going to kill respawn yourself just to get members ahead of u chances are they wont help u kill boss and just idle themself anyway... i would. if im doing a strike and im lagging behind killing mobs it may be because im doing bounties otherwise i'll run through it, but if your going to be a )ick and kill yourself just to respawn me at boss i'll just idle, dance, sit w/e
-
I hate this on nightfall. Should be used on every strike though
-
When you wipe and we respawn I just run back to the area
-
At that point, I either leave, or take a seat. There is no timer, no extra points for finishing quickly. Sometimes I skip parts, other times I kill everything, especiall when doing bounties/using consumables. If you want to be an ass and skip, and see that others aren't caught up and purposely kill yourself when you get to the boss to cause a wipe, I won't help. I'm not slow on strikes, often lead the fire team in kills and in the field, but what you are doing shows absolutely no teamwork whatsoever. In fact, it is the opposite. If you want to speed run, invite some friends.
-
you are the type of people I don't like. you run past everything, and then I have to kill all the enemies.

no shit sherlox
