Hey guys what's up?
Well we finally got around to attempting the 2nd raid Destiny has to offer, Crota's End. Even though we weren't able to complete it, there were some positives we can take away from this weekend's attempts.
For starters, we were able to reach the final checkpoint in our 1st attempt--well first playthrough more accurately--Friday evening as a clan. That's a major accomplishment, especially if you consider our humble origins at the doorstep of Atheon's Vault of Glass Raid. We were measly low-leveled guardians at 25-27 I believe? We couldn't even activate the spire/conflux to enter the freaken raid lol!!!!! ......those were the days.
We were able to grind away for hours, exploring learned strategies while exploring new ones, courtesy of Brian's friends. This exposure to the entire raid will no doubt prove invaluable for our second run.
We identified the point person who should be the sword bearer at all times.....Marc!!!!! Lol. This is a huge positive because it will make the raid that much more formulaic for us, allowing the rest to either take out boomers or rocket launcher away at Crota.
There was a lot to take away from The Crota Raid. It added some perspective on the clan, allowed us to test our mettle and grit, we were able to recruit Brian, and I feel it left us more determined than defeated. As daunting as it felt, that guy's advise toward the end left me feeling more assured than not that The Finer Things Club can do this damnit.
We all know now how we can improve as individual guardians and as a collective. Let's continue to help each other out, especially when it comes to hunting for materials to level up our gear. The higher the level we all our, the better our chances will be in defeating Crota.
--for the clan!!!!
