You are probably the same guy who complains about not getting any drops too. Kill enemies get engrams. Chance for purples and levels your cryptarch.
Like another person said if you want to skip everything then get some friends to do it with you and not annoy people. As much as it annoys you that people play the game it's equally annoying to people who DO want to play to be forced to go past everything.

people who rush are the norm and majority so if anyone should be getting together with a premade team its the slow pokes.

I guarantee you are wrong, every strike I do is full of random players that dont mozy about and the occasional wait at the start do nothing. Hardly ever is there a slowpoke to deal with.

Maybe you can't kill them fast? Ever think that's why you think killing enemies is the same as slow. I hate to insult but it's not hard to sweep an area in a minute or two.
