Not really lore questions but:
Are there any Star Wars novels that are good as standalone sci-fi books? I'm always scared to go for the Star Wars ones because of the question of quality.
Would you be a Jedi or a sith, and why?

Fate of the Jedi and Legacy of the Force are pretty good from what I hear. My older bro gave me all his but I haven't read them yet. I'd probably be a jedi until I learned to control my power and became more powerful/brave, then switch to sith.

But why? Are there any particular advantages to being a sith?

More badass. Cooler powers. Cooler looking. Most of the time more powerful.

Most of the time. But not necessarily. You're essentially just embracing the dark side. I may even go neutral and master both sides.
