Well, I don't like to think gay people or trans people have a permanent mental disorder; I like to think that they're adults who choose to live their lives the way they want. Biology may influence how they choose to live their life, but I don't think for a second that it determines it. And right, since we generally treat disorders with drugs that 'normalize' the imabalance in the brain, shouldn't we treat trans and gays the same way? Why don't they seek to fix the hormone problem?
