I agree with most of it but recently I've run enough strikes to see the difference with engrams and green drops. I definitely get at least 3 drops each strike on top of the rewards at the end. 5-7 per strike vs 2-4 per strike is a big difference really.

I get at least 2-3 drops skipping the trash mobs that can be skipped. Plus the rewards.
