1. There are 9 planets in orbit around the sun. Mars is only the 4th farthest away out of the 9. 2. Mars is red mainly due to deposits of iron, which is red in ore form. There are also deserts. 3. Mars has 2 polar ice caps, so pome parts of it are already white. 4. You probably knew all of these thing already, but oh well...
