being the sixth person in Guardians of the Galaxy. Maybe not every time, but most of the time you get these people.
Rocket: The one guy with something to prove. This guy usually picks up the relic during Atheon's Timestream and dies once or twice, but keeps picking it up. Good player overall but a bit reckless. Smart mouth and all, you can pick this guy out.
Groot: Great player. Doesn't say much, but he listens in most cases and helps you out of a few jams with some great power plays. Usually has some great gear and knows how to use it and when. This person also usually gets some of the best drops.
Drax: Amazing player in most cases, but not the brightest. Usually doesn't get the sarcasm or jokes of the group and occasionally this person will pull a Leeroy Jenkins that inevitably becomes a wipe or scramble. But they make it for it later.
Gamora: Probably the best player on your team, sometimes the highest Lvl as well. Secretly or, often openly, thinks most of you are idiots and suggests better or more efficient ways of getting a checkpoint done. But not a leader or follower by any means. Usually there just to help out because they have more experience.
Star-Lord: (This could be you, maybe it's the other guy.) Leader, calls the shots, and generally influences the gameplay and strategy although very loosely and impromptu. Really funny and kinda laid back. This person is a solid player and you'll usually, if you're not him, remain friends with him to raid another day.
Yondu: While not a member of the GotG, this guy is relevant. Person with great gear, really strong player but they aren't there to make friends. They just want the loot and they want to get it the fastest and simplest possible way. Still a team player in a way, but not by much. Expect this person to be the first one to leave the party/fireteam when the final fight is done and they get their loot.
This isn't concrete and there are more qualities of people that I've encountered. But this just reminded me of a lot of people I've played with since launch between two consoles. If anyone has any other movie or comic book personalities that have manifested in your games, feel free to post them up. Or if you have something to add to GotG, feel free. I just thought this would be a fun thing to post up and see what others came up with.
Edit: For the record I'm usually a Groot or Gamora when I'm with randoms, but a Drax when I'm with my actual friends because it's more interesting that way.
Edit 2: thanks for all of the responses, people. I've met the most Yondu types out of all of them. But they've all been pretty great players nonetheless.

Definitely a groot over here. Im usually the one doing all the reviving as well. Crest of alpha lupi comes in handy!
-
I am groot. Lol seriously tho I am groot

Add allenfergus17 for crota on hard and easy

Edited by Major2: 1/28/2015 4:43:15 PMYou left out the "Ahole" player!! The one who shoulder charges unsuspecting noobs off ledges and leaves his post to do whatever he feels like.

100% groot

Jacking off with your alternate hand (if you aren't ambidextrous), you never know what's gonna happen.
-
Groot, don't say much, get shit done.
-
This is actually surprisingly really accurate. Scary accurate, tbh
-
I'm rocket and yondu. I don't have a mic and most people would mute me. I'm 14 and I sound bad. I do great with shield but I can't really talk to them at all
-
I'm inbetween rocket and groot. I'm reckless some times and I get the best loot about 50% of the time.
-
I am groot.
-
I'm definitely a groot minus the best drops part lol
-
Im kind of Star-Lord, I like to be a leader, telling people what to do, tell them what we are doing wrong, and how we can fix that.
-
I'm more of a yondu kind of guy. I'll get shit done but once I have what I want, good luck, because you won't be seeing me again unless it's by chance.

Got in a group of randoms for hard mode Crota. The all die and tell me to wipe at the beginning lamp part. I told them no need to and they were bitching. I beat it first try by myself and got us to the bridge after the one guy and his friend were bitching at how randoms suck and I come in there and save there asses. Also soloed the bridge for them.

Love this, I am probably most like Gamora.

...being in the middle of a tornado. When you first start out, you're in the eye of the storm where everything is quiet and peaceful. But as the tornado shifts away from you, the winds start to blow. Soon, they're growing so heavy that things are flying about, people are screaming and scattering about like ants, and chaos soon consumes the situation. Nothing got accomplished, and all you're left with is a group of confused, angry and disheartened people and a large pile of rubble. That's what raiding with randoms is like.

Pretty accurate nice job. I fall mostly into the griot category.
-
My biggest pet peeve raiding is the over confident, loud, rude, jack ass. He's the guy who is nearly always talking, insists on explaining the strategy we are using even though everyone knows what to do and refuse to take any advise or tips from more experienced and better players. They rage quit and blame individual players and nothing is ever their fault.
-
.. getting jiggy ... sometimes it all comes together.
-
... sucking a Basketball through a straw while taking a dump.
-
is like........................playing the lottery, every once in a while it pays off
-
.. The Six Stooges
-
I'd probably be most like Starlord. When I raid with randoms, it's usually just a quick Vault run on normal, and most players on the team are either new to it or have only done it a few times. I'm normally the higher level so they turn to me for strategies and stuff.
