Why is Mars not WHITE

Why would the furthest planet from the Sun not be covered in ice and look like a desert? Space Magic? These things confuse me

  • Oh Lord...., ok. The reason why Mars isnt a giant ball of ice is mainly couse it still has a atmosphere, weaker than ours but thick enough to have different kind of weather depending the region. The temperatures of Mars goes from -50 C° up to 20 C°. This temperatures can change in a single day in a matter of hours. Also, Mars has planetary scale sand storms that can last for weeks. The reason of redish color of Mars is mainly couse of oxidation. Below of the first ctms of ground, the earth is somewhat brownish. ...in the other hand, we have Destinys' Mars. Mars on Destiny isn't a giant snow flake couse..., SPACE MAGIC!!!
