My 2 cents G Horn
Okay honestly ill admit i don't have it. I want it, but ill live on. People rely to much on this weapon. Id prefer a exotic secondary or primary over a heavy anyday. I mean its honestly like a sour subject. Ghorn users act like master race. Non ghorners are so butt hurt. I only hate that it has be come the tier 0 object in this game.

I have Gjallarhorn, HoC, and Dragon's Breath. DB isn't leveled yet but I like the way it works from the vids I've seen. But between Gjallarhorn and HoC, I often opt for HoC because I don't [i]need[/i] that extra damage there to sacrifice using an Icebreaker in my secondary or Vex in primary, etc. Gjallarhorn is great, but it's not the end all be all gun.

Ghorn just helps. It takes 3 shots on HM to drop crota. 5 from HoC. I haven't tested it out with Truth or DB, but I assume it's pretty close. If everybody minus the sword wielder shoots a rocket and they connect it won't matter if there are ghorns or not. Rockets are just the fastest way to down him. Screw Ghorn only groups. They're usually all up tight and refuse to work together.

Honestly don't know what Gallahorn does. My only reason for wanting is the way it looks. Haven't had anyone belittle me for lacking it yet. Have had a few randoms from the LFG sites comment on my obvious personal deficiency, and unworthiness to raid, for not having icebreaker though.

1 ReplyYeah, I'm more impressed by teams that beat Crota or Atheon on HM without items like Ghorn or Hunger of Crota. I think players/teams that can defeat the main bosses without the crutch that is the Gyallerhorn are more impressive. And I would only use gyallerhorn on bosses, otherwise the exotic slot is too valuable to me That said, when using LFG the Gyallerhorn can often make up for inexperience or unfamiliarity with the people you are playing with.

2 RepliesIt really is a fantastic weapon. It has incredibly high damage. That being said, it's dumb that people require you to have specific gear. This whole community is largely garbage. Lots of elitism and ignorant fools.

3 RepliesIts way overhyped. I have one fully maxed but I also have a One Way Ticket that does the same dammage same perks minus the tracking. So I have to make sure my aim is good......so what?

1 ReplyI really wanted the ghorn. I managed to get the rocket launcher from crota then later that same day I got Ghorn from VoG on hard. I have hardly touched Ghorn cause using up an exotic spot for that gun just seems like a waste. I would much rather have Hawkmoon, suros, mida, Ice Breaker, or even Thorn take the exotic spot. JMO

2 RepliesGhorn users don't really act like master race, it's non ghorners who are so convinced that it's gamebreakingly awesome that idolize people who have it. Most of the people who rave on the forums or whatever about how amazing the ghorn is, how they want it or how it needs a nerf haven't even used it. It's great for Solar burn, every 5 minutes when you take out an ammo synthesis, or quickly taking down crotas shield. Outside of those three things, it's really not that amazing of a weapon.
