We never even discussed not wanting to know the sex. But, with me being (and loving being!) an only child, I wanted to have just one. My wife wanted 2 or 3. When we talked about it, I always answered that I understood her desire, but that we were having only one. Basically, I have a veto over that decision (she needs me for the second one!). Then, we're in the OB's office one day getting a routine ultrasound (I always went with her). The tech is scanning her belly and I can see the screen, but my wife can't. As she moves the wand, I see a little "blip, blip" on the screen. Cool - there was it's heartbeat! Then she moved it to another side, and I see "blip, blip". I looked down, and the wand was in a different position, on the total other side of her belly. I looked at the tech and said, "Um - what was that second blip?" She looked at us both and said, "You're going to have twins!" From that moment on, I could never even think of having only one. Turns out, we had a boy and girl. Boom - one and done! Got both of them in 1 try!! Now, if I could only get a Gjallarhorn and Hawkmoon from the same chest . . .
