Lv 32 are you going for it?
Dont think ill be going for it actively. If i luck out get the gear and materials then ill do it but with the 2nd expansion in march i think. Dont really think its worth the time. Wondering what everyone else's thoughts are.

I'm trying to but can never seem to get a group together due to timing. I live in Alaska and seem to be only able to play at night due to kiddos and angry ball and chain. I have 2 31 characters in need of a gear overhaul.

I'm not dying for it, but its certainly a goal. With most mmo's, maxing levels makes you able to experience the best of the next installments content right away. Of course, Destiny fails horribly in most MMO aspects so we'll see if that holds true or not...

I pushed to get my Warlock to 32 quickly, including breaking down my hunter gear drops for shards. I have 2 warlocks so it meant I would have 2 at 32 when hard came out and make normal easier. After that I just focused on getting good at Crota's End for the personal satisfaction and whenever my hunter hit 32 then so be it. All can be 32 when they want now so I can focus on helping others through the raid now instead of caring what drops (except on hard where I just want the Fang of If Yut).

1 ReplyYes, ran crota last night with clan. Only missing crota helm. Didnt finish crota, freakin glitches r outta control. We couldnt end crota becuz things were dissappearing, teleporting, not dying...it sucked. And the glitches became worse as we got closer to dropping him.

Already done on 3 characters for a bit now; full semi-raid set (supplemented with IB gauntlets to save radiant shards) on Titan and Warlock, missing helmet on Hunter. It is very possible that the armour you buy with the next DLC will not surpass the raid sets (based on Bungie comments about how the last DLC was handled). Yes, it took a lot of time (raids, levelling, IB, Eris, etc.) That means you may need the 32 set eventually anyway if you want to progress with the HoW DLC.

Nope! Sticking at lvl 31 on my sole hunter toon...seeing how I never bought the expansion I don't think it's possible for me to get 32!

I would like to but I am a little burnt out on the game at this point. All I need on my Hunter is a chest piece and mats.

3 RepliesI am going for it. I need 2000 rep with Eris and 100 black wax idols and I am there lol. Sitting with all the gear and a comedy of riches when it comes to radiant energy but sadly I am short of shards.

I too am in the "maybe" category. My Titan is 32 capable - 3 pieces of raid gear and an exotic. But he needs like 40 shards or so to get there. I'll try to run the raid on at least normal once a week, but it might not happen. My hunter is Lvl 30, and hopefully running Crota tonight. So with any luck he'll be 31 soon...

Got it on all three toons in about the same timeframe I imagined it would happen. However, my Titan has full raid gear while my hunters need a helm.

1 ReplyGot my lock to 32 , will hit hard mode to try get some sweet loot drops but don't think I'll actively try for my other 2 characters , like you say what's the point when I can just save up mats and marks/glimmer for new dlc ! Also I'm really not a huge fan of the crota raid , hoping the new one in March is better :)

I'm not actively trying to get to level 32, just trying to have fun and if I get to 32 in the process it's a bonus.

I'm working (slowly) on running the crota raid solo. Mostly due to the fact that no one is ever on when I want to / have time to raid. If I get the gear... fine. If I don't get the gear... also fine.

My primary Titan is 32 and I am a few shards away from my secondary Titan to be 32 without moving gear. It was natural since I do like to raid. But I was also very determined since I never got to 30 prior to TDB.

1 ReplyAfter the fiasco with the 1st expansion i stopped at 31, i've only upgraded the exotics i use a lot because i know i will have to do it all over again in march.

An interesting question one I had also thought about, I came to the conclusion that I was happy with 31, I like the gear I've accumulated and it suits my play style. If I get the gear and mats for 32 I'll upgrade but at this stage all I seem to be able to get is gauntlets.

They've already said that they don't want to devalue players hard work in levelling up crota raid gear by bringing out better vendor gear in how. So while I think it will still be possible to jump up beyond 32 just from whatever new comes out I think we can only be doing ourselves a favour & a head start by hitting 32 now. It won't be as simple as visiting the vanguard vendor like it was with tdb.

Since I do raid you can say that I am trying to achieve it but the game wants me to stay at 31, or thinks my character is on octopus since all I keep getting are gauntlets for both my characters...

Yeah. But mainly because I'm expecting the new version to be level 35 or something. Basically, just like we could go VoG at level 26-28 but not Crota, I expect that those that haven't done Crota to get lvl 32 to not be able to do (or do well) the new stuff. That said, I MUCH prefer VoG to Crota.

Got my lock and Titan to 32, hunter is next. I see no reason not to since I'm going to raid anyway. I enjoy raiding though, so it just seems natural to hit 32 by virtue of having completed it enough times.
