But for the sake of argument there is, as far as we know, only one Flood Infection Form on the ship. Remember that they quarantined the ship multiple times and when Serina said "something has happened", she doesn't appear to be suffering from rampancy, and Rampancy was an already established issue by the release of Halo Wars. This means that the order to abandon ship was made very early in the Spirit's (as of right now) 26 year journey home. And, if the Flood had assimilated the crew after exiting the Cryotubes, wouldn't there be Flood Biomass or blood on the floor and walls of said room? And wouldn't there be Flood Biomass on the hull, like every other Flood controlled vessel? I think that the crew abandoned ship for a completely different reason than the Flood, and that they never knew about its presence on the Spirit of Fire when they left. I also believe that, given the fiery exit of the Sheild World, that the parasite must have been either inside the the ship by the time of leaving, which isn't possible given that the Spirit of Fire wouldn't have been allowed to open the exit if Flood were present on the ship (even though the planet was collapsing), since that is a primary mechanic of that last mission. And even if an Infection form had managed to latch on to the hull as they were flying through the exit, it would have been either crushed/pulled by the gravitational forces the supernova was exhibiting moments before it's collapse, and the proximity to the star the Spirit experiences would have certainly killed anything on or within the outer hull. Which is why I believe that the parasite boarded the ship after the crew abandoned ship, though the why the ship would still be flying without the crew or Serina is odd. Also, certainly the Covenant have the coordinates to the Apex Site, so finding the Spirit of Fire wouldn't have been that hard given the current state of affairs and it's obvious trajectory.

 • When did Serina say that? I don't recall her saying that in Halo Wars. Did she appear in Escalation? I haven't read any issues of it, I've only seen Halo Canon's reviews on each issue. For copyright reasons he doesn't show everything in the issue.

 • After the credits on Legendary. Look it up.

 • Holy shit. How did I not know that Halo Wars had a Legendary ending?

 • Did Reach have a Legendary Ending? For some reason I haven't seen one online.

 • No, it did not. Which is rather strange, seeing as it was Bungie's last Halo game. You'd think they would have put in the most extravagant and complex Legendary ending in a Halo game ever.

 • Well, it did have Lone Wolf.

 • True, but it was essentially just a campaign version of firefight. And you could do it on any difficulty. I'm just glad they at least tried to leave as few loose ends as possible, and did so in a way that everyone could experience it. Just wish we'd gotten to know Jorge a little bit more before they killed him off. He was easily my favorite member of NOBLE, Jun coming in at a close second.

 • I feel like Jorge was thrown in at the last second. He didn't have much character, in my opinion. Kind of flat. "Oh, I'll sacrifice my life to save my home for a few minutes."

 • It does seem like that. But his concept art and such have been around about as long as any other character.

 • On the topic of Reach Concept Art: You know that one of a nearly-completed Tip of the Spear opener with Kat and a Blue Operator riding in a Warthog? Yeah. My Spartan had that same exact armor down to the colors and helmer attachments. And this was before I had even seen the shot. It's official, my Spartan is canon!

 • Lol, that's amazing. For as much flak as Reach gets, it was an awesome game. Campaign was epic and multiplayer was hella fun. And Forge. Oh my god was Forge ever amazing.

 • Not like Halo 3's house of cards Forge. Halo 2 Ann.'s forge and it's buttons gives me high hopes for Halo 5.

 • Yeah. Shame we didn't even get a completed Forge map in the beta. Doesn't help that there won't be another beta.

 • We did get a forge map in the Beta, Pegasus and then we got Orion as well at the end. Never got a chance to play the third week, but they have a Halo 4-esque vibe in terms of appearance.

 • Let me rephrase that. The map those two were built on was very much incomplete.

 • Well, that may have been the point. To show us what we can do. Motivation.

 • That might have been their intention, but it ended up just looking lazy. When they first added Pegasus to the beta, there weren't any death barriers, so people could get out of the map. In doing so, we found that all the "trees" were just 2D low-resolution images, the ground would suddenly stop being solid and you'd fall to your death, and the water wasn't even implemented in yet. The water didn't make any noise and didn't react to the player in any way. But by far the worst offense was an entire side of the map looked like it had carved out in a straight line.

 • Orion was built on the exact same map, and thus had the same issues.

 • Perhaps Forge mode itself was still in Beta within 343, such as the actual maps were developed first.

 • Oh, that is such a bad idea from a game design standpoint. You want to have a completed forge base map first, then build custom maps on it. No offense to 343i, but Halo 5's forge maps looked hideous from anywhere outside the play space. This is because they made very limited use of the existing map, and thus the base map and the custom map weren't blended together. By comparison, Reach's custom maps looked great, both inside and outside the play space, because Bungie created the base map first, and then built the custom maps around it.
