In halo 4s spartan ops, spartan IVs are allowed to deploy with all manner of weaponry, be it human, covenant, or Promethean. Would the UNSC actually allow that? I'd imagine that covenant weaponry would be understandable given that we've had long time, and wide spread access to it, but Promethean tech seems like it would more than likely be filed away as ONI assets.

Can't say for sure. Who knows if it would. There's 7 million Knights on Requiem in Spartan Ops. That's a few million Suppressors and Lightrifles.

Yes, but DEPLOYING with them? That means they came from Infinity to Requiem with these weapons on them. Even today we wouldn't allow something like that if we encountered a superior alien race. Bringing their technology back to the central base of operations when we have next to no idea what other functions it might have is downright retarded.
