Well when running crota you are kinda far away when you fire rockets at him to down him, and he can move and you can miss and then the sword bearer gets smashed. So tracking makes sure you don't miss and waste rockets or let the over soul enrage or leave the sword bearer hanging out to dry. So tracking in crota is pretty important and lots of other stuff also I guess. maybe your taking about PvP I didn't read it all. But outside of the crota raid I don't use them all that much but when I do, I use tracking. Because I'm not an idiot
