Crits/headshots, consumable, and weapon set swap, and doing most damage to boss with final killshot. I believe certain strikes also have a better chance at obtaining a legendary. ..Devils lair and the archon preist. I use 3 different weapon setups for the 3 different parts and swap right before. Use Consumables. I'd like to say on archon preist my legendary/exotic drop rate is about 60 percent. Every exotic I've gotten from a strike other than 1 universal remote (nexus) has come from that strike-suros, 3 other universal remotes, 2 ghorns from engrams after killing him when the mission countdown timer pops up. about 3 weeks ago I had this run of legendary engrams at end of strikes starting with archon and ending with archon...I had 3 out 4 strikes in one session give me a legendary, later on after 2 hours of strikes I had accumulated 8 more plus a uni mote. The next day, first strike was archon got a legendary after I killed him, 2 strikes later and back to archon I get suros and a ship, I ended that day with my 2nd ghorn from a legendary engram on archon normal (level 14) for the bounty, since then, I have not not gotten a legendary or an exotic in any of my strike sessions doing exactly what I described to you. Beginning of match pop a consumable, kill as much as I can without holding up team or straggling (I won't go out of way but kill every thing in my way) focusing on crits. Get to a part in strike where I swap my special and heavy weapons, do that part, get to next part, swap back or to another set of them (usually I start with Icebreaker and my void valedictorian with tracking and swap to ldr/broken truth/secret hand shake and ghorn/db/truth), get to boss focus on crit hits and massive dps, and try to finish boss with crit hit. It could be coincidence but my buddy is always impressed with thr amount of legendaries I get from doing that. I had 2 randoms stay with me when I got a couple legendaries then suros and a ship the day I got it and they asked me what I was doing cause I would get 2 legendaries in a row, go dry a few games, get another, etc. Then got the Suros and another ether eater.
