Class specific exotics: in the taken king, we're suppose to be getting some. Let's see what you guys can come up with.

Toxotics: this is basically an exotic with an amazing perk but it is also hurts you somehow.
Not really doing a competition because I'm very inconsistent.
Edit 7/24: Glad to see we're getting some traffic going again. I've decided to change what this forum is about. I want it to be a creation outlet for everyone to share their ideas, not just for exotic gear. Hopefully you guys like the change. I'll try and include some examples.
Edit 6/11: Wow, I'm surprised that people actually want this forum to stay alive. I'm sorry for being silent for so long so I've responded to a couple of posts. I'll try and respond to anyone else that adds something. Also I'm going to look for the list of exotics that I have from the last competition. I'll post it when I find it. Name: Judgement day Exotic rocket launcher No idea what small upgrades would be but for the main 2, Rocket launcher would have the slowest RTF and reload possible but have maximum blast radius starting out. 1st main upgrade: atomic warhead Rocket blast creates mushroom cloud apon detonation and leaves behind fallout damage 2nd main upgrade: Annihilation Rocket becomes nuclear greatly increasing blast force and radius, fallout duration and damage is also increased

This gun has only 3 bullets in its mag made for the skilled snipers who have a steady hand. First column: Perfect balance, flared magwell, an crowd control. Main perk: Apollo's Blessing: All precision hits are doubled in damage in addition getting a kill with a provision hit has a chance to spawn an orb of light. (Sound good?)

An auto rifle that can switch fire rates (auto, pulse, semi) with a certain button press maybe by holding the reload button. Give it a sweet animation as it switches between modes.

How about an arc auto rifle with the highest attack/rof in the game and the only way to obtain it is in three stages ending in a lucky drop on hard crota with a hidden perk that it fires blanks 90% of the time........ Oh wait that sounds familiar lol

Don't waste your time, the game and the DLC are already made. They will only add simple features and bug fixes not what the players wants.

*A sub machine gun like hardlight but with rapid fire, at a very close range that rivals the close range effectiveness of a shotgun. *Dare i say, a sword? Basically no more and no less deadlier than a shotgun, except no need for ammo, like invective, but the swing rate is slower for balancing issues. The range has to be from the length of the weapon and not from a lunge by the character like with the hunter's blink strike. It would have to be super rare. Rng only! A grenade launcher. Essentially a rocket launcher with bankable projectiles. It would be able to attack over enemy cover if used properly. A fusion rifle with a single beam that can pierce through multiple hoes\foes. Rewarding precise aim. Heavy weapon crossbow. Basically a rocket launcher with sticky rockets, but with much greater velocity. A hand cannon with ammo regen. Precision damage slows down target movement speed. Ice themed gun.

(Flash EFFECT, AoE grenades half damage, sticky and trackers do half, no Presence of Crota, no Weight of Darkness)

Single point sling. Exotic: enraged: when aiming down the sights with focused fire the rof increases back to normal but has no recoil and impact is increased by 15 only while your injured.

Name: Some Kind of Monster Type: Scout Rifle Description: This monster lives! Design: Jet black with glowing red trim Stats: High Impact. Low-ish fire rate. Maximum stability, almost max range. Medium reload speed. Magazine size of 14. Exotic Upgrade: "Some Kind of Monster", getting a precision kill has a chance to redirect the bullet to another nearby target's critical spot.

Dragon Slayer Fusion Rifle "Fus Ro DAH! -Dovahkiin" Obviously a reference to skyrim. Would only be available if Ahamkara Hunt was to exist. (Preset Perks) Unrelenting Force - This weapon fires up to 3 bolts at a time, but tapping the trigger will fire a single, very weak bolt. The longer you hold, the more powerful the bolt will be Arc Damage -First Exotic to have a changeable (but still unique looking) sight Bungie chooses the sights :P Has 3 unique perks Ebony Warrior - Ascendant blades of Hive origin will deal more damage and provide excellent elemental resistance Archmage of Winterhold - All elements deal much more damage to shields of unrespective colors. Random Perks Destined Dragonborn - The third bolt of the weapon's fire is powerful enough to knock any alien off their feet (except for bosses). Now because of this Ahamkara (the dragon) would be [i]extremely[/i] hard to kill. Long part of the post. Sorry. [spoiler]Ahamkara Hunt DLC That Will Never Happen: In order to start this painful task, you must find traces of the Ahamkara in Patrol Venus. Footprint, buried scale, massive egg. But Ghost must be able to scan it. When he does, you will have to talk to the Speaker, who will bring you into a cutscene. You talk blah blah blah, then he tells you to [i]find the Ahamkara, and kill it.[/i] So you go back to Venus to search for a dragon known as the Ahamkara, who could be anywhere. Hell, you might even have to chase him (but he flies, so losing him is easy)! When you do eventually get to him, Ghost tells you "I... Think this is it..." Then the Ahamkara sees you, and you fight. You have to try and kill him (although you can't this early). He ends up triumphant against you. That doesn't matter though. You return to the speaker and tell him what happened, and he mentions a weapon that you need to have in order to kill it. So you get that, and you receive a quest marker towards the Ahamkara's lair. Upon entering, Ahamkara greets you, speaking dragon of course. You don't understand him, but he understands you. You walk further into the cave, and fall into a massive, wide open chasm. Everything goes black. You wake up to find that you have no weapons and have forgotten most of your knowledge (You lost your powers), but decide to move on anyways. You must kill him. Now you enter the Ahamkara's nest, to find that he is gone and your weapons are sitting patiently in the center. You approach them quickly, as you hope Ahamkara isn't following you... As you pick your weapons up, you hear a gruesome laugh, and the ground underneath you heating up. It's a trap! You flee in terror, only to find Ahamkara sitting patiently for your arrival. To escape, you must kill him, once and for all. And the fight begins. The walls crackle as you hack away at him with your Speaker's weapon of choice, and it seems to be working. Keep it up, Guardian! But keep in mind, you must move quick or you will melt in the flames of death emerging behind you. And respawn from last checkpoint. You're killing him, you're killing him! He's almost dead, and a decides [i]giving you q chance[/i] isn't very fun. And so he starts fighting back. Just kill him. And now he's dead, and you might be rewarded with the epic dragonslayer![/spoiler]

(Think about it) Description: "The firetrucks never came... had to put it out ourselves..." This weapon will have similar (but tweaked) stats to "Shadow Price" except it will be blue and black and white and have a nice tommy-gun sort of drum-mag clipped on the bottom. The gun will have a 60-round mag and no reserve ammo, but will regen ammo over time. The regen will obviously be quick unlike Ice Breaker, but not quick enough that you can just fire nonstop.. Im think at an empty clip, if you stop shooting it for 15-20 seconds, it will have gained its full 60 rounds back.. thinking about the math, and the rof of shadow price, that would make it a valuable weapon as long as you have a solid secondary to swap out now and then. The gun comes with the ammo regen already, as it cant carry reserve ammo. Perk 1: Over-Penetrating rounds Perk 2 choices: Field Scout, Radar, or Perfect Balance. Perk 3: Hoser - this perk gives the gun a slight chance to fire 2 rounds at one time. (Im thinking a 5-10% chance of the gun having two bullets come out together, pretty much as one bullet) Let me know what you guys think! :)
