Not really doing a competition because I'm very inconsistent.
Edit 7/24: Glad to see we're getting some traffic going again. I've decided to change what this forum is about. I want it to be a creation outlet for everyone to share their ideas, not just for exotic gear. Hopefully you guys like the change. I'll try and include some examples.
Edit 6/11: Wow, I'm surprised that people actually want this forum to stay alive. I'm sorry for being silent for so long so I've responded to a couple of posts. I'll try and respond to anyone else that adds something. Also I'm going to look for the list of exotics that I have from the last competition. I'll post it when I find it. Design: a normal hunter helmet with a white smiling mask surrounds the front of the helmet.

Upgrades: melee attack speed, orbs regen melee energy
Exotic upgrade: Dancing Joker- the gunslingers throwing knife leaves a dancing after image of the guardian on the spot that it is thrown and lasts 8 seconds. In pve, they take aggro from enemies. In pvp they show up on the radar as enemies.[/spoiler]

Description: When faced against the will of a king, one must ask, "How do I repent?"
Design: Golden helm with a crown melted into the top.

Design: a grey warlock helm with small void particles surrounding it.

Upgrades: melee hits replenish grenade energy, more super energy from genade kills
Exotic Upgrade: Abyss Gravity- vortex grenades and nova bomb have an increased radius for their damaging fields. They also have a strong singularity effect that pulls people in its radius to the the center.

Perk 0: Close Call Any enemy that survives the explosions caused by this weapon will be petrified. (Unable to move for roughly 7 seconds.) Perk 1: Tripod This rockets container holds three shells. Perfect Balance, Speed Reload, Javelin Exotic Perk: Remembrance Narrowly missing a target will make the rocket turn around and aggressively track target, do bonus damage, and have a bigger blast radius.

Antenor's Redemption "Only the darkest of hells circles is reserved for traitors" Stats same as icebreaker but no regeneration of ammo. Upgrade trees the same except No icebreaker perk. 4 in mag 4 in reserve. Once the weapon is fully upgraded. There are two final nodes to upgrade. The first one is called "Antenor's gaze" Once upgraded, all previous damage upgrades are turned off. Weapon stats stay the same except for impact and attack are set to 0 and range drops to 60%. Mag holds 1 round with 0 in reserve. Ammo will regenerate automatically. 1 round every 3 minutes. Any enemy that sustains a critical hit will turn on his team and fire at them. In addition all enemies within a given radius will agro on the traitor thus losing focus on any guardians in the area. Affect lasts for 15 seconds or until the affected enemy is killed. Final node is "Antenor's Redemption". In addition to all affects of "Antenor's Gaze", any enemy that sustains a critical hit will have its base level increased by 3 and will become a major or ultra, and agro radius increases. Affect lasts 15 seconds or if the enemy is killed before the time runs out. If the enemy is not killed, the enemy remains at its increased level and retains major or ultra rank.

I'd like it if they would have made the raid primary exotic an ongoing upgradable item. Id like it if they had implemented a way to upgrade not only the damage to be scaled as it was before dlc, but also the damage types. And after HOW, you'd have a weapon with all three damage types. If you could use the crux to change the damage on the vex instead of making the horrible necro, I think it would be awesome. Nothing special, but it would be really cool to have that option on what's supposed to be the rarest weapon in the game. Plus it would make VOG relevant for those who don't have the vex.

Splits ammo drop with your primary even equipped in the heavy slot . Aggresive balistics. cqb ballistics. soft ballistics. 1st tree. Hammer forged. Perfect balance. Field scout. Exotic perk. Timber: impact and stability increases by 0.5% every bullet that hits it's target. victims combust damaging other enemies, but every bullet that misses takes 2% of your health away. Every bullet that hits it's target after you miss the target gets the 2% of your Health back.

Okay, so I've been thinking of a new exotic (surprise much?) I haven't thought much on the lore behind it, but I'm thinking of a hunter chestpiece or gauntlets. it's not very specific. The design also has some variability. Basically I'm thinking it's special effect would be "Your Throwing Knives Become Vessels of Light" Vessels of Light would fly in the same arc and all, but be reskinned to be a solar type light crystal blade that leaves a glowing tracer. The special use of Vessels of Light would trigger health regeneration on allies if it hits them, then give them a 10%-20% damage boost for 10 seconds or so. Hitting enemies would purge the darkness from them for a short period, causing them to fight other minions until they are reclaimed by the darkness. I hope you guys can share some options or changes, feel free to discuss. And hopefully bungie will take this into consideration. Thanks for reading Guardians![/quote]
