Wait till it goes off in your face for no reason. Trust me, it damn sure does have proximity and it is bugged. You'll find out soon enough. I just hope you aren't in a Darkness area when you find out.

I've had others go off in my face for no reason that didn't have proxi deto. Usually I hit something or some1/thing runs in front of me as I fire the rocket and I die from the explosion.
