Guys,
Mercury can't be in the game because it's the hottest planet in the solar system. It basically touches the Sun's CMEs and we would all be dead immediately due to radiation and heat. Why do people want to go to a molten rock and fight the vex? These things blow my mind.
Why do people keep saying VENUS is hotter than Mercury? You guys need to learn the order of the planets.

Edited by Cobalt: 2/3/2015 9:48:57 PMSo...why then, can we go to the burning shrine? And are the guardian suits really not prepared for this? Come on man.
-
Venus is hotter because it has an extremely dense atmosphere that traps heat, like extreme global warming. Mercury has no/very little atmosphere and so the heat doesn't stack up over time. Venus is significantly hotter than Mercury. Get your facts straight.
-
Mercury is in the game.
-
I love this dude... srsly.
-
Venus is actually hotter and we all seem to be fine walking around there. Space magic for the win
-
Venus is hotter than Mercury because the Venusian atmosphere holds in the Suns heat while Mercury has no atmosphere. Mercury has the larges temperature change over a course of time while Venus maintains its hottest temperature.
-
You didn't do your home work first before posting... ah
-
Hey nerds! Guess what?! SPACE -blam!-ING MAGIC + TRAVELER = play in whatever environment
-
Then how can you explain why there is a crucible map on Mercury?
-
There is already a multiplayer map on mercury
-
So that's why there a crucible stage on Mercury
-
#satire I hope
-
Actually only one side of mercury is that hot at a time, since its rotation takes long the dark side of it is well below freezing temps...science!
-
"B8er" haha this guy rocks
-
There aren't jungles on Venus. The Moon does Not have earth-like gravity. We can play on mercury if we want.. (Some do in PvP)
-
Edited by Bulletz4Breaky4: 2/3/2015 8:52:04 PMVenus is actually hotter because of its thick atmosphere carbon dioxide atmosphere where no heat escapes, basically making the planet a giant oven. Also Venus is littered with volcanoes. Just a statement. The side not facing the sun on Mercury actually experiences freezing temperatures.
-
Venus has such a dense atmosphere that heat has a hard time escaping. So, sorry to bust your rant bubble, but Venus is indeed hotter than Mercury even though Mercury is closer to the sun. Has nothing to do with distance.

Edited by scottyboyHC: 2/3/2015 9:14:54 PMThere IS a Crucible map on Mercury....sooooo Mercury IS in the game...yo
-
It's a video game dude, you do know that The Fallen, Hive, Cabal, and Vex aren't real right?
-
Venus is further yes but there is a dense green house type gas that makes venus smelt. Open a book that doesn't need crayons.
-
Edited by ScrubLordEkim: 2/3/2015 9:11:58 PMYou realize there is a PvP map on mercury right? The traveler transformed the solar system.
-
Would be nice to go in pve , mercury has a good PvP map also music sounds epic at the beginning ! May have to wait to the next few dlcs !!!
-
We want to go there because it's f*cking beautiful and mysterious there. Duh
-
You need to research before assuming things. Venus is the hottest planet due to run away greenhouse. Mercury has little atmosphere so it doesn't hold onto any of its heat. It's about 427C during the day and -173C at night. While Venus is 462C. Educate yourself.
-
A: it already is. B: this game doesnt listen to science obviously lol so it could if it wasnt already.
-
Last time I checked Mercury was in the game.
