Venus' atmospheric pressure is so high that, were a human to enter it, they'd be crushed into a sphere. Gravity is all the same. I just assume out giant ping-pong ball -blam!-ed the laws of physics over before it decided to die.

Larger planets, or at the very least more dense planets will have a stronger gravitational pull, making gravity stronger or greater on that planet. This is why astronauts when on the moon are able to jump significantly higher. While their mass is the same, they weigh less on the moon.
