Word of Crota Petition for a Fix!!
The Word of Crota as a weapon itself is pretty amazing. It's a great hand cannon, but there's on extremely annoying issue that comes up.
It has the same issues that Black Hammer had! The Phantom Gift is useless against Hive Majors because of the extra non-precision damage it does, so the perk doesn't actually work against anything that is a Hallowed Hive enemy, for example a Hallowed Knight.
The explosive rounds perk does the same, so the Phantom Gift doesn't take effect, so we're basically restricted to only two perks of the three perk tree on the weapon.
Could Bungie please take this issue into account as you have done to Black Hammer and either replace Phantom Gift entirely or at least tell us you're working on it like you did the Black Hammer?
Note: If you have The Word of Crota as well and dislike the fact that the perks contradict each other, bump and like this so Bungie could see it!

4 RepliesEdited by Ko-: 2/3/2015 8:07:43 PMI own WoC and I personally don't think it's a big deal. If they fix it will it be advantageous? Sure. But to me, it's just an empty bonus. Using ER on WoC has the same effect as using ER on Fatebringer with firefly. Sometimes it works. Other times it doesn't. I find that the possible 5 extra bullets aren't worth fretting over. A semi-fix would be to simply run the perk that increases it's range. That's all I use. One-shots for days. Edit: also, seeing that this post applies mainly to hive majors; if we take a look at the strongest hive majors (hallowed knights in CE) vs WoC, WoC can easily take their health down to below half with 12 bullets even if you are shooting at them solo. Considering that the only time you would be shooting at them with it is in the crystal room, I would say you wouldn't even need a full clip to kill them if 2 other members are also shooting them.
