I'm all for teamwork (and this is a great example of it). and fireteams playing together. Provided that: - Bungie makes sure if a fireteam is one side, the other side has a fireteam/clan too. - Match randoms, against randoms (do not match guys in Fireteam/wingman with a team that has none) - At the very least, make it known at start of match what the opposite team is made of (randoms, fireteam/clan, who's part od what, etc) Seen it all too often - scrubs who run with teammates or a wingman, running Vex M/Suros - against team of complete randoms. And if you play well in such a match, be sure it'll always be 2on1 or 3on1 on your ass (have had 4 on 1 on me few times). Not to mention OP weapons and communication, and best of all. tag team work. And then, to top it all, scrubs come on forums, make it like doing good with stats, and are genuine players. Same sorts would vote against a 1 vs 1 playlist I suppose. This game is far from balancing fireteam vs randoms. And it will make weapon stats normalized (as should be), but will not make weapons availability in Crucible normalized (meaning, same armory available to all in PvP).

Agreed. Sick of joining a group of randoms against a full 6 man team when the score is 18000 - 3000 in favour of the pre-made.

You can already tell before the match begins who is part of a fireteam and how large the team is. Hit start and go the Roster. To the right of the Gamertag you'll see a black bar if it's a team of 2 or more, the larger the bar is, the larger the team is. I usually run with a wingman, and I do notice often we'll be placed in a game with another wingman team on the opposite team. I've seen in several occasions, multiple wingman teams in one game and once the entire match was 6 wingman teams... it was pretty cool.

  • Hey i knw that. I've always played solo, in ALL of my games. Bungie says there are what, 23 million characters from 13 million players? (something to this effect I think I read in one of the year end thingys). And its not exactly cash strapped - the game was not a publicly funded one and is with rather overwhelming sales. Quality servers/infra should not be an issue, if it means to make this a long term game. So among all the players logged on, and all the infrastructure it has, it is difficult to modify their matchmaking? I think it must know of the issues. But the game is only few months old. And there are too many things to deal with. And so, what seems important to you or me might appear a very low priority (or non existent) concern to Bungie.
