Just a quick question, why does it say "expansion 2 moon strike" if intended for initial release? Also the dlc's were announced around may 2014 so they had decided long before that, that they were rearranging content. These are placeholders so we don't have to do 30gb download to play the dlc. Makes sense in the long term.

Place holders, and also the areas are in the disk. As in they were all mostly built at release of the game. Not to save space, but to make money. SO instead of getting a bigger game for your money. You paid for the game and another $30 for what seemed to be part of the initial game. If that is ok with you, carry on. I am not ok with it. And looking at the amount of content in Dark Below DLC. They could have just as easily released that at launch. Whyhold it back when it was only 3 missions, 1 raid and 1 strike (2 on ps4 but that strike is the same area as Black garden mission, so was already built out).

  • So would you be happy if the Citadel wasn't on Venus and then after doing a 30gb download it was there after? Wouldn't make sense. Everygame builds multiple things at once. Most games BF, Cod have there first dlcs done by launch, should those be included in retail game? Entitlement has gone to your head.

  • Oh god, the Citadel. Thats another great example. Now explain to me why that was cut out of the release version of the game. They were working on this for 3 years. Had a huge budget, and couldn't hire enough developers? I mean something is not right here.

  • At the core you're right. They wanted to delay content for a longevity and $ but this is not new. WoW had places just like this. One wasn't playable for 5 years. This is it new.

Wow also had 2 huge continents, which you could play at release. But then again, comparing Destiny to wow is like comparing Toyota to a Lexus. Blizzard created a masterpiece MMO. With huge expansions that had tons of content. I mean this is a moot point here, lets move on from this as a point of discussion. Concentrate on Destiny itself.

  • I'm not trying to compare ecuase one is huge and the developer knew what they were doing. Activision clearly wanted to turn this into a money grab and to that point you're right. All I'm saying is the proof that this was their plan was on the wall last May and just becuase somethings on disk doesn't mean it should be playable at launch. Do they need to.up the content? Absolutely. Will they? I doubt it. Should every mission have one or two cut scenes? Absolutely. Will that happen in the future? I hope so but seriously doubt it. The content has been laid out for us and they for the foreseeable Destiny is what it is. When we spammed the forums to get a point across that we as a community wanted more, forum -godwinslaw!- were more upset with ToS and making their precious forums an unsightly mess. I hope you were not one of those.

  •
Depends what cars you're comparing :)
I used to be into cars when I was younger, so I make car analogies. I really don't know what the new Lexus luxury car is called. I used to like the Lexus GS they were called the bubble. And I am familiar with Toyota Camry. So I guess you can call that a comparison.
