I hate how people say it's on the disc, the only thing on the disc is access to Bungie's servers. Everything obviously isn't coded into Bungie's servers yet as you glitch into the areas and there are no enemies, the detail is low in some areas and the missions aren't there. What is on the Bungie server is the placeholder environment, when these are added to the Bungie server - if you paid for the DLC, you get the download to update to the new server rendition. Notice when we get small updates? They can throw parts of the DLC environments into those downloads so no one is the wiser, therefore filtering in the new material little by little into their server for use later on instead of having 1 large download, for those who paid for it, later on. But ya know, conspiracy theories are more exciting than the truth.

  • The maps are on the disc. The interactive content is downloaded through a server. That small 1MB update you get on occasion is your progress syncing with Bungie's servers.

Nope I got it. If you think encrypted discs can't be unlocked there's no point in continuing the conversation.

  • omg.. you really are retarded. because jtagging was made for xbox its a chip that is installed on the main motherboard that allows you to bypass HARDWARE RESTRICTIONS. and decryption is for software. they are both similar but totally different things. Your not going to crack a 128 bit encrypted disk any time in the near future. you need to learn what encrytpion is and the different types.. Silent you sir need to go take a basic operations of computers class.

  • No you just need to get more intelligent. It's people like you that work at bungie now. I'm not sure what jtag you did. I always connected to my computer to my console so I could bypass anything I wanted to, but it's not like I don't work at dell or anything, so my reasoning doesn't matter. Conversation over.

That's interesting and illegal, thanks for letting me know. Let me clarify because you seem to be kind of dim, if you can access any employee information, other than yourself, through him, by voice, pen, or any type of confirmation of any information. It violates our contract and some federal laws.

  • There are already YouTube videos of the maps. There are also screen shots. Both have been provided in this thread. You can even access those areas in game. Extracting ISO images from a disc, porting the game to PC, and using an emulator will also give you the exact same content. The maps are already on the disc just as they are downloaded when you purchase the digital version of the game. They are not fully developed as they do not have the scripting plugged into them and spawns are not added. They are just empty maps. Some maps are not fully completed, as they do not have any type of collision added to them. That is why when you view videos on YouTube of players getting into the King's Watch, it looks glitchy. All maps that were suppose to be included in the initial release of the game are already in the game, including the planets Mercury and Saturn. They are just hidden in areas that are out-of-boundaries. As you can see, players have already found ways to bypass these boundaries. I don't understand why people keep claiming the content isn't on the disc when it's clearly shown in multiple videos and photos that the content is already in game. What more evidence are you requiring? If you want evidence, you can either explore the places yourselves in game or figure out how to extract images from a disc and utilize them on a PC. If you're not PC literate, I'd choose the first option.

  • Being able to glitch into an area does not constitute finished content. Anyone played through the new Raid, the new strike, know what the bosses are, and are called? You could get into the entire continent of Tamriel on Skyrim. Its not uncommon for play spaces to be present before they are made use of. Try again.

  • The MAPS are already installed onto your console when you install the game. In-game content such as items and mobs are NOT on the disc. The maps can only be changed by Bungie when an update is pushed. Bungie cannot get into your console and edit game data to remove them. If they wanted to remove them, they would have to push an update that overwrites the existing game data on your console. The areas shown in this thread have been around long before the game was even released. Those areas were suppose to be in the first initial release of the game. When Staten left Bungie, the story-line for Destiny had to be cut to make Activision's due date. This included in-game content. What you are seeing when you go to those areas is unfinished work that was suppose to be in the game at initial release. Those areas will now be included in future DLCs. I do not know how else I can explain it if you do not understand. I think I've explained it in the best way possible without getting too technical.
