What is a game if not software. Yes your Playstation is a computer, and the game is software for that computer. Just fyi. The fact that I have friends in development, and I read about game development for years, and I even dabbled in it a bit. I used to make multiplayer maps for Half Life/ Counterstrike. Also modern game development is not as complex as you think. When you have 100 employees, with each employee assigned their own tasks, it makes development a lot easier. Each person specializes in certain things. And there are small teams that deal with certain aspects for the game. And each of them has a project manager that assigns the tasks, or goes over it with them, who communicates to the other teams. Then there are the bigger departments which those teams fall under. Am I getting the basic gist of it? Then there are those departments which specialize in testing the game called Q&A. It is all basics of software development. So yea I know a little bit about it. The Q&A team in Destiny didn't really spend enough time hiding this leaked DLC which people have gotten into. I bet those guys got fired already tho, just joking wouldn't want anyone to lose their job over a forum post.
