I have Destiny on both PS4 and XB1. Picked it up on XB1 when PSN was down fairly early on, like a drug addict finding a new dealer. I find that splitting time between the two can be challenging, PS4 is my main with (2) 31's and like a level 10 but I have severely neglect my XB1 character which is only like a level 22 or 24. If you have are maxed on your PS4 with (3) 32's and don't want to delete and start a new character from scratch but want to start a new character (minus all your golden goodies) then another copy of the game is a good way to go. Another way to do it is just say day's x,y,z are PS4 days and a,b,c are XB1 and day N is rest/family day. I just typically play my XB1 when I only have a limited time to play for like an hour or so where I know I won't get to invested trying to rank up and get my white whale, the jellyhorn. TLDR: If you have good time management skills and don't mind starting over from square one, DO IT. If not don't waste your money.
